Abstract
Case based learning is an important feature of business education as it enables students to discover and developtheir unique framework for understanding real business situations and dealing with business problems. Theobjective of this paper was to show the outcomes of teaching an introductory management course tonon-business students using the case methodology. The study was conducted on computer engineering studentsat a university in Turkey to investigate their perceptions and approaches towards case based learning. The datawas collected through a survey and classroom observations. The results show that the students’ activeparticipation and discussion in class on cases increased their retention and motivation in learning the newconcepts.
