Abstract

This study had the objective of identify the seage sludge use feasibility as a fertilizer alternative for eucalypt commercial cultivation and as substrate for seedling production by an updated literature review. The research was performed on the following database: SciELO, CAPES journal portal, universities thesis and dissertations, Scopus, Bireme and SienceDirect, as well as books, articles, short communication and regulations. The use of seage sludge directly in the soil have been showing good results for wood production and it is considered a feasible alternative to mineral fertilizers. For most of the studies analyzed showed an application of 10 ton ha -1 of seage sludge as the most adequate due to the similar results or higher wood production compared to the mineral fertilization. The partial or total use of seage sludge within the substrate for eucalypt seedling production have also shown promising results, however, due to the lack of reliable information, it is still necessary further studies to identify the better seage sludge/commercial substrate ratio.
