Abstract
Immunoglobulin preparations are medicines derived from blood used as a replacement therapy for immunodeficiencies or as an immunomodulator. While they are generally well-tolerated, side effects, rarely severe, can nevertheless occur when administered intravenously. They are usually related to an excessive perfusion rate. Therecent arrival of safer products administered subcutaneously represents progress in the treatment of patients.
