Abstract

Experience with the design and construction of a 70-meter metallic tower at a site with soils classed as type II in terms of proneness to slump-type settlement and foundations formed from BSS cast-in-place piles (in dry stable soils without stabilization of the walls of the holes) with holes widened at their bases is brought to light.
