Use of anti-JOVI.1 antibodies to detect clonal T cell populations: implementation into a diagnostic flow cytometry laboratory and correlation with clinical findings

Abstract

Background: The determination of clonal T-cell populations in diagnostic flow cytometry has been more complex than that of B cells, hindering widespread availability. T-cells with αẞ T-cell receptor express a TCR ẞ-chain constant region encoded by either TRBC1, named JOVI.1, or TRBC2. We investigated the use of anti-JOVI.1 monoclonal antibodies in a large tertiary diagnostic flow cytometry laboratory.
