Abstract
The United States Postal Service has announced a temporary price hike for key package products for the 2022 peak holiday season. The rate adjustment is similar to ones in past years meant to help cover extra handling costs to ensure a successful peak season, the agency said. Its impacts on philanthropic organizations, will vary, but will be especially significant for nonprofits that use the USPS to ship items from website sales and/or mail larger swag for donors as part of year‐end fundraising campaigns. Those that don't ship anything during the holiday season won't be impacted, as the general nonprofit rate will be unchanged.
