US Anti-Drug Policy in Central Asia and Latin America: A Comparative Analysis

Abstract

The article deals with the threat from the illegal production of drugs in Latin America and Afghanistan for the United States. The author focuses on the formation of the US anti-drug policy both inside and outside its borders in the period from the R. Nixon administration to the D. Biden administration. The main reason that led to such different anti-drug policies in both regions has been explored.
