Abstract
Urinotórax se refiere a la acumulación de orina en la cavidad pleural, es una causa infrecuente de derrame pleural y existen pocos reportes sobre esta patología a nivel mundial. La etiología puede ser obstructiva o traumática, pero en algunos casos no se puede determinar la causa. Las características clínicas y del líquido pleural suelen ser variables y para su diagnóstico se requiere de un radio de la creatinina del líquido pleural/sérica > 1. En la mayoría de casos el pronóstico es favorable. Presentamos el caso de una mujer de 66 años con diagnóstico de urinotórax.
