Abstract
There are 66 species reported, including 5 not previously recorded in the United States, 3 new species, Puccinia chisosensis on Piptochaetium fim- briatum, P. scleropogonis on Scleropogon brevifolius, and Uromyces bravensis on Sporobolus pyramidatus, and one new variety, Puccinia pygmaea var. chisosana on Bromus anomalus. This paper records 66 species of the rust fungi collected during the fall of 1961 and the spring of 1962 in Jeff Davis, Brewster, and Presidio Counties, Texas. The majority are from the Big Bend National Park and they constitute the first listing of these fungi from the Park. Included are three new species and one new variety on grasses, five species not previously recorded in the United States, and numerous new records for Texas. All specimens are deposited in the Arthur Herbarium, Purdue Uni- versity and were collected by me unless otherwise indicated.
