Abstract
This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which aims to improve student learning outcomes in Welding Subjects Class X Light Vehicle Engineering SMK Sw Ris Maduma Sumbul Academic Year 2018/2019. Through the action in the form of the application of the learning model of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type, it is expected to be able to improve student learning. The research method used is the classroom action research model STAD carried out in 2 cycles, in which each cycle is carried out in 2 meetings and in each cycle is completed through the planning phase, the implementation phase of the action, the observation stage and the reflection stage. The subjects in this study were the tenth grade students of Light Vehicle Engineering SMK Sw Ris Madul Sumbul consisting of 30 students. Data collection used in this study is multiple choice. The results of the observation indicate that the application of the STAD learning model can improve the learning outcomes of Welding. This can be seen from the completeness of the initial test is 20% with an average value of 64.38. In the first cycle by applying the Inquiry learning model, the completeness of learning outcomes obtained 73.33% with an average value of 73. This shows an increase in student learning outcomes both from completeness and average value. In the second cycle of action by applying the STAD learning model that the acquisition of values increased namely 86.66% completeness and an average value of 80. It can be concluded that the application of the STAD learning model can improve the learning outcomes of welding class X TKR SMK Sw Ris Maduma Sumbul Academic Year 2018/2019Keywords: Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) learning model, Welding Learning Outcomes.
