Abstract

ABSTRACT Over the past two decades, supply chain partnership management and ambidexterity strategies have advanced significantly. However, there remains a lack of understanding regarding the factors influencing partnership creation and development. This study presents a theory-driven model that integrates ambidexterity concepts to categorize supply chain partner relationships, evaluating their impact on firm performance. The research contributes in three key ways: firstly, it explains how external factors shape a firm's supply chain exploration and exploitation. Secondly, it profiles supply chain partnerships as they evolve, recommending ambidexterity adjustments. Thirdly, it examines the link between partner types and firm performance. Additionally, enterprise information systems play a pivotal role in implementing collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment in supply chain networks.
