Two new uranylzinc germanates, (UO2)4(ZnO)(Ge2O7)2·(H3O)4 (UZG‐1) and (UO2)3[Zn(H2O)3](GeO4)2 (UZG‐2), have been prepared and characterized. Both compounds are constructed from anionic uranyl germanate open‐frameworks embedded with Zn2+ cations in the voids via rather unusual 3d‐5f heterometallic cation‐cation interactions.
