Abstract
Objectives: There is growing evidence that platelets play key roles in cancer growth. Recently, we found that 1 in 3 women with epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) has paraneoplastic thrombocytosis (PT; platelet count>450,000/μL) and that PT compromises survival. However, the underlying mechanism of PT is unknown and was the focus of this study.
