Abstract

Last week's issuance of a proposed federal rule that could make it harder for plaintiffs to prevail in discrimination claims under the Fair Housing Act caught the eye of some housing advocates nationally. But in the mental health advocacy community, the study of individual regulations in housing takes a back seat to much broader worries about how persons with mental illness are historically ill‐served in housing — concerns that have only grown deeper under the current administration in Washington.
