Ergonomics plays a crucial role in the field of dentistry, as it directly impacts the well-being of dental professionals and the quality of patient care. This review article aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current insights into the application of ergonomics in dentistry, while also exploring the future directions and potential advancements in this field. Various aspects of dental ergonomics are explored, including equipment design, operatory setup, and practitioner posture. The article highlights recent advancements in ergonomic equipment, such as adjustable chairs, dental loupes, and ergonomic instruments, which aim to minimize physical strain and discomfort during dental procedures.
