AbstractThe electric vehicle (EV) industry is witnessing unprecedented growth, driven by the global shift towards sustainable transportation. Laser welding has emerged as an important technology in this sector, offering a welcome way of reducing production costs and expanding the options in manufacturing new batteries and e‐drive technology. While laser sources have rapidly evolved, introducing power levels of 24 kW and beyond, the efficient application of such high laser power in welding processes remains a challenge.
