Abstract

In this paper, a universal design for the LLC resonant converter with fixed switching frequency is proposed. In order to realize zero voltage switching (ZVS) and zero current switching (ZCS), the fixed switching frequency is selected slightly lower than the resonant frequency. Subsequently, the simplified model of LLC resonant converter is derived based on the fundamental harmonic approximation (FHA) method, and the relationship among voltage gain, the inductance ratio $\lambda$ and the quality factor $\pmb{Q}$ in frequency domain is analyzed. Based on this, a universal design of resonance tank parameters is given, and a simulation model is built in Saber. Finally, the simulation results well verify the effectiveness of the design method.
