AbstractProperty, Real Estate & Development (MIC: 8.3 SIC: 6798 NAIC:525930)United Dominion Realty Trust is a self‐administered real estate investment trust that owns, develops, acquires, renovates, and manages middle‐market apartment communities nationwide. At Dec 31 2003, Co.'s apartment portfolio included 264 communities located in 55 markets, with a total of 76,244 completed apartment homes. In addition, Co. had three apartment communities under development. Co. focuses on the broad middle‐market segment of the apartment that generally consists of young professionals, blue‐collar families, single parent households, older singles, immigrants, non‐related parties and families renting while waiting to purchase a home.
