A. M. GUHL Kansas State College, Manhattan. Observations of hens mating with hens, although rare, have been noted. Heuser (1916) reported a case of a White Leghorn hen which attempted to mate 35 times with 13 different individuals, as perfect a manner as the best male and better than a good many others. These occurred at time of production and non-production and while the males were present or absent. Guhl, Collias, and Allee (1945) reported 20 unisexual matings in which three apparently normal hens assumed the male role with six different hens. The
