Abstract

In this paper we show that it is possible for a finite uniform flexible string which is initially at equilibrium to assume this position again at T = 1. The string will be subject to the linear force –pu, where u is the displacement, and external force ∞ Our technique is a generalization of symmetric Green's function method of Kreith2 and Haws1
