Abstract
This paper outlines a new method for circuit simulation that provides SPICE-like performance without the use of simplified, linear device models for devices such as transistors. This new technique is described and compared to existing simulation methods. Specifically, methods for creating and solving non-linear circuit nodal equations are described as well as discussion of DC operating point and transient analysis. Several test circuits are presented and simulation performance is discussed. Comparisons of simulation times show that this method allows the use of non-linear device models while still achieving results that either match or outperform traditional SPICE simulators.
