Abstract

Recent developments in engineering have created carbon nanotubes (CNTs) one among the foremost studied nanomaterials. A good vary of applications in numerous engineering fields are recommended by taking advantage of the exceptional physical, chemical, and electronic properties of CNTs. The contribution of CNTs to sustainable environments and green technologies similar to wastewater treatment, air pollution control, biotechnology, renewable energy technologies, supercapacitors, and green nanocomposites is mentioned in this chapter. Thought of CNTs from cost perspective and doable risks for large-scale implementation is additionally addressed. CNTs show great potential as a promising material to be used in various environmental fields, supported the literature reviewed.
