Abstract

ABSTRACT Research reveals that while uncontaminated eyewitness recall can be reliable, delayed trials make memory contamination inevitable. This study assessed the authenticity of eyewitness recall using neuro signature profiling. It examined the effects of negative feedback and leading questions on Experiential Knowledge (EK). Sixty participants with matched cognitive flexibility and response inhibition underwent two BEOS profiling sessions, fifteen days apart, after a real-life simulation. The findings showed no discernible change in EK for any of the three groups between the pre-and post-test conditions. Thus, affirming Neuro Signature Profiling as an effective technique for determining the veracity of eyewitness recall.
