Abstract

Introduction: Netball is one of the most popular team sports played by girls in Australia. The game involves rapid acceleration, deceleration, direction change and landing, which is associated with risk of lower limb injury, particularly to the ankles and knees. Based on the success of injury prevention programs reducing injuries in football, Netball Australia developed the Netball KNEE Program. The KNEE program encompasses specific exercises and provision of feedback to improve movement patterns associated with injury.
