Abstract
During a period of more than 40 years, in which the writer has studied problems dealing with the covered smut (Sphacelotheca sorghi (Lk.) Clint.) and the loose kernel smut (Sphacelotheca cruenta (Kiihn) Potter) of sorghum, several uncommon symptoms and manifestations have been observed.
