Abstract

Introduction: Cerebral Salt-Wasting (CSWS) is characterized by hyponatremia and sodium wasting in the urine This entity is triggered by various neurosurgical disorders such as subarachnoid hemorrhage and brain surgery. To our knowledge, CSW caused by uncomplicated endoscopic third ventriculostomy (EVT) for treatment of non-communicating hydrocephalus has not been reported. Case Report:A 9-year-old female was admitted to the hospital for breakthrough seizure. She has past medical history of prematurity, congenital hydrocephalus, ventriculostomy at 2 years of age and mild developmental delay but had been lost to follow up.
