Abstract

A short satirical article trying to take seriously a metaphor often repeated by administrative research assessment advocates. What would happen if the idea that the container (i.e. the journal) determines the value of the content (i.e. the article) would be consistently applied to evaluate piano players? If their concerts in the La Scala theater would be treated as marks within an allegedly objective scale [pun intended] of values?
