Abstract

Severanoia brevicauda n. sp., a parasite of larvae of Diloboderus abderus in Argentina, is described and illustrated. It can be characterized by having the vulva situated at the posterior middle of the body, the eggs without sculpture, the male with three pairs of genital papillae of which one pair is preanal and two pairs postanal. The tail appendage in both sexes is short.
