Abstract

This article studies the generic polyvalence inherent in the term “traictié” in the 14th and 15th centuries in France. The first part highlights the variety of texts that can be called “traictiés”, and analyses the fundamental mechanisms of such writings. The second part reassesses the Quadrilogue invectif of Alain Chartier (1422).
