Abstract
We present a phenomenological model of the π + proton elastic scattering below 300 MeV, based on the hypothesis that the scattering amplitude is completely determined by one single Regge pole. The model is found to give a rather satisfactory representation of the angular distribution, especially in the neighbourhood of the resonance.
