Although he died young, at 37, he had an outstanding ecclesiastical career and became one of the most important economic administrators of the cathedral chapter of Burgos. He also took part in matters of jurisdiction and benefices and, in representation of the chapter, negotiated the construction of the Constable’s Chapel in Burgos cathedral with Mencia de Mendoza, countess of Haro. Finally, it is worthy to note that he owned an original copy of the 42-line Bible printed by Gutenberg.
