Abstract

This article aims, following a number of scientific papers and educational policies, to understand how are developed training practices in recent decades and the invention of a teaching category in Brazil: literacy teachers. Striving to analyze strategies for mobilization and regulation of literacy practices such as the invention and governance of an episteme for the training and generation of literacy teachers. In analyzing the forces and practices of mobilization and regulation, it was possible to identify neoliberal resonances that operate a network of alliances capable of producing a literacy model that serves as a reference to the formulation of the processes of continuous teacher training and, in the last decades, to the invention of the literacy teacher in Brazil.
