Abstract
Innovation is an emerging subject nearly for 50 years. Nations use innovation strategies as a tool for sustainable competitive power just like firms do. But innovation strategies yield different advantages for business sectors. The aim of this study is determine the relation between national logistics performance and national innovation indicators and analyze the effect of national innovation indicators on logistics performance of countries. Given the importance of logistics sector for countries, this study will provide a significant contribution to literature by studying increasing measures for logistics performance from the innovation perspective. In addition, this issue, which is not examined in the literature before, also increases the importance of this study. After the analysis performed, it is found that there is a positive correlation between logistics performance and innovation metrics datasets. Finally, positive and statistically significant effect of human resources and intellectual assets on logistics performance is presented as innovation policy proposal
