Abstract

Integrated service of satellite and beyond 5G (B5G) or 6G mobile applications is definitely expected in the next generation communications. With the ever increasing number of wireless communication population, the higher enhanced mobile broad band (eMBB) of very wide frequency bandwidth is required for the beyond SG (BSG) or the next 6G mobile system. Also, satellite communication is expected to connect and support the future mobile system with small antenna size. Therefore, in this paper, a compact ultra-wideband slotted hexagonal patch antenna is designed to use for the integrated service of satellite and beyond 5G (B5G) or 6G mobile communications whose overall dimension is 12x9x0.787 mm^3. In this paper, a slotted hexagonal ground plane is presented, which is operated in the Ku-band frequency (17.608 ~ 19.64) GHz for satellite communication, and in the UWB(ultra-wideband) which has the impedance bandwidth of (30 ~ 52) GHz for future mm-wave applications. The antenna resonates at different frequencies including the mm-Wave frequency band of 37 GHz. The maximum gain of the proposed antenna is 6.49 dB i .
