Abstract

Abstract Transfection using ultrasound exposure in the presence of nanobubbles can overcome an important barrier for nonviral gene delivery, that is entering the nucleus without cell division. The monitoring of the relationship between fluorescent protein expression and cell division reveals that ultrasound-mediated transfection with liposomal bubbles is independent on the disappearance of nuclear membrane at mitosis.
