Abstract
By using the gas evaporation method, Zn line particles were prepared, whose average size was about 100 nm. By compacting these Zn particles under different pressures, three nano-structured Zn samples of 2 cm in diameter were produced. Using ultrasonic techniques, ultrasonic velocity and attenuation were measured in the samples in the frequency range from about 2 to 50 MHz.
