Abstract

This article discusses an ultrasonic meter cleaning process instituted at the Southern California Water Company. The ultrasonic unit selected has a 1,200‐w, fully transistorized generator in combination with a lO‐gal, stainless‐steel, multipower transducerized tank with an automatic recirculator, and it cost approximately $2,000. Cleaning and test procedures are discussed in the article, along with equipment performance.
