Abstract
We have investigated the ultrasonic atomization of the deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) solution as a simple preparation technique to image circular DNA molecules with the atomic force microscope. The DNA solution with a relatively high concentration (∼25 μg/ml) is ultrasonically atomized at the exciting frequency of 2.4 MHz. Preliminary results show that this technique allows an even distribution of unaggregated strands.
