Abstract
Ultrasonic absorption measurements were carried out on Th IV solutions in water as a function of ligand. In the frequency range 10–170 MHz, ultrasonics predicts outer sphere complexes for Th IV with Cl −, Br −, ClO 4 − and SCN − and inner sphere complexes with NO − 3 and SO 2− 4.
