Abstract
Narrow-band absorption of metamaterial based on sandwich structure with metal-dielectric-metal layers in the low THz range was investigated numerically. The near perfect absorption can be obtained by finite integration time domain method. We studied absorption tunability of the geometric parameters of the structure, incident angle and background refractive index. The results show that the absorption can be tuned by the geometric parameters of the structure at TE and TM polarization, however, the absorption peak rarely changed at different incident angle and background refractive index. These results could be applied to narrow-band filters and stealth applications in the low THz region.
