Abstract

Photonic Crystal Fiber (PCF) is very popular in communication technology for having many superior properties to conventional fiber and it is very easy to design a PCF for some required properties which is not possible in conventional fiber. In this paper, authors suggested a design of a PCF having the property of ultra-high birefringence and high non-linearity. Chromatic dispersion is also kept highly negative to keep the transmission efficiency high. Finite element method (FEM) is used to simulate the fiber design.
