Abstract

Abstract Transient four-wave mixing has been applied to dephasing measurements in the picosecond or femtosecond range using coherent short pulses or incoherent light. The dephasing time is a key parameter in the investigation of coherent interactions of light and matter. Measurements of electronic (excitonic) and vibrational dephasing time are reviewed together with our results using incoherent light.
