Abstract

A holographic method of a posteriori restoration of optical images by “spatial frequency retrieval” has been discussed. Certain applications and limitations of the method have been pointed out. A suitable method for imagery in coherent light has been outlined and it is proposed to use this method in certain cases to correct aberrated images formed in coherent light.
