Abstract

An uninterrupted constant amplitude ultrasonic three-point bending fatigue test was carried out on plain weave composites with different Multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) content. S-N curves under different reliability levels, Weibull distribution curves with different stress levels, and fatigue life survival probability distribution were plotted. MWCNTs were a kind of nano-particles that significantly improved the anti-fatigue performance of CFRP. It increased the interface strength of carbon fiber and epoxy resin and ultimately prolonged the ultra-high cycle fatigue life of CFRP. In addition, the three-parameter Weibull distribution function was more in line with the distribution characteristics of CFRP fatigue life data.
