Abstract

We give a model independent estimate of the flux of high energy Hawking radiation from a black hole, E≫100 GeV. We calculate the black hole contribution to ultra high energy cosmic rays and find that it is insignificant. We point out tha the high energy radiation emitted by a real black hole is expected to be non-thermal.
