Abstract
Zgodnie z teorią A. Maslowa poczucie bezpieczeństwa jest drugą potrzebą w hierarchii potrzeb człowieka tuż za potrzebami fizjologicznymi. Istnieje wiele czynników, które wpływają na subiektywne poczucie bezpieczeństwa obywateli. Celem badań było poznanie opinii społeczeństwa na temat roli Policji w kształtowaniu poczucia bezpieczeństwa. Badania zostały przeprowadzone na teranie Gdańska,grupę badana stanowiło 150 respondentów, podzielonych na trzy równoliczne grupy
