Abstract
ABSTRACT This paper reports UBV photographic photometry of NGC 6649 and the analysis to derive a minimum distance modulus, (m - AI)o, of which indicates the cluster is well within the Carina-Sagittarius-Scutum arm of the Milky Way. Distance and age of the cepheid V367 Sct near the cluster center are consistent with cluster membership. Key words: galactic cluster - UBV photometry - cepheid variables
