Abstract

The article touches upon the main criteria defining words of English origin which the Russian language has recently borrowed. Based on the analysis of some examples taken from the periodical press, the authors give a classification, outline the typological features and highlight some peculiarities of anglicisms used in the journalistic discourse related to economic issues.
