Abstract

Article is devoted to poetics of biographical and memorialistic genres of XX century, especially to the analysis of such forms of laughter as irony and parody. The basic idea is concerned with fiction of the authors, which seek to destroy Genesis and alter reality, which in no way satisfied with the artists. The purpose of the article is identifying of the specifics of literary and imaginative reconstruction of historical events in the novels of M. Kuzmin and Sasha Sokolov by analyzing specifications of its narration. Method or the methodology of work : Among research material are M. Kuzmin’s novel A wonderful life of Joseph Balsamo, count Cagliostro and Sasha Sololov’s novel Palisandria. Analyzing the texts of works on the researched topic were used comparative-historical, historical-biographical and structural methods. Results : Our study suggests that irony and parody in biographical and memorialistic genres of XX century have integrated, multifunctional meaning. Analysis of the novels allows us to observe the transformation of traditional biographical memorialistic narration into the grotesque model of the reality. There are interesting observations of the functioning in the works such approaches as parody, travesty, illogic, allegory, etc. As a result of the use of similar artistic techniques the novels become metatext about human nature in general Practical implications : The results of our research can be used for lectures on the history of Russian literature of XXth century, in the course History of Russian Literature at faculties and departments of Russian Philology institutes and universities.
