Abstract
First, bound state energies and continuum edges are calculated for densities up to the Mott density with the help of an effective wave equation for two particle states in dense hydrogen plasmas derived in the framework of the Green's function method. The dielectric function describing the surrounding medium is used in Random Phase Approximation.Second, a homogeneous strong electric field was taken into account. The complex rotated Stark-Coulomb-Schrödinger equation was solved analytically using complex power series expansions. Finally, the complex scaling method is used in order to calculate both the real eigen values of the Hamiltonian and the complex resonances of a statically screened Coulomb potential. The eigenfunctions are described by complex power series; for the coefficients a recursion formula is given.
